“I enrolled in the Diploma in Banking programme to advance my career and deepen my knowledge within the banking sector. I began at the Certificate level and from the outset, I knew it would be challenging. This is especially since my last formal study was the Cert FA (Mutual Funds Specialization) from IBAF seven years earlier. Still, I was determined to make the necessary sacrifices to succeed. The experience was demanding but incredibly rewarding, strengthening both my expertise and my confidence in applying what I learned to real-world situations.

Completing the Certificate level gave me a sense of accomplishment, so I didn’t stop there. I pushed myself to continue and that perseverance truly paid off.

One unique aspect of my journey was studying alongside my husband, Nicolas. Studying together made the process enjoyable, but exam time was a different story as it required strict discipline. To maintain integrity and avoid any risk of collusion, we would go entire exam weekends without speaking, focusing on the completion of our assessments. This experience reinforced the importance of professionalism, integrity and accountability, values that have always been part of my core at RBL and which are essential in the financial industry.

Completing the programme has had a significant impact on my role. It sharpened my ability to analyze complex issues, improved my decision-making skills and gave me the confidence to contribute more effectively within my organization. Beyond technical knowledge, the programme taught me resilience and time management skills which I apply every day.
